Leah and Eric

Leah and Eric on their wedding day. All photography by Matt Gaydos.

It was a wedding of love, sunshine, tears of joy, and even more tears of laughter! Leah and Eric said “I do” on June 11, 2022 in the Epiphany Roman Catholic Church, Pittsburgh, PA. The church was full of family and friends – love filled the room, and the couple could not stop smiling ear to ear! Wedding guests came from not only Leah and Eric’s hometown of Pittsburgh, but (to the couple’s delightful surprise) out of town guests traveled to celebrate their love! (all vendors, including their links, are at the end of this post!)

When they planned their locations and “hot spots” for photography, Matt Gaydos called this scenic place the “best kept secret.” It’s nestled behind Monterey Bay and is secluded enough to avoid traffic and tourists. It’s the perfect balance of city skyline, the river, and nature!

The wedding reception took place at Jay Verno Studio located in Pittsburgh, PA. The venue has a classic yet modern style, urban but with elegant touches! The bride and groom danced below the stunning chandeliers and wowed everyone.

DJ Rambo kept the guests on their feet all night long! The couple chose songs that were special to them and their families and ended the night with an EDM dance party!

We are still in awe of the Pittsburgh Cookie Table, homemade with love and styled by Vintage Alley Rentals.  Over 28 varieties of cookies were baked by family and friends! Cindy Poplowski (Eric’s mother) and other dedicated friends and family of the Poplowski and Marino families, worked tirelessly for this delicious spread! Leah’s grandmother Dolores Buzzelli made her homemade pizzelles and biscotti (the classics!). Leah’s Great Aunt Darlene made the famous lady locks that disappeared in the first hour!

The cake was spectacular and made by Bella Christie’s and Lil’ Z’s.

Stunning florals by Fragile Paradise.

The guestbook and place cards were designed by the bride! Leah did a modern take on a vintage classic style. Each guest was given a 45 record with their name and a song that the bride and groom personally chose for them. Leah wanted a unique way to show each guest how much they meant to her and Eric. Each time they hear their song, they will remember this special day of celebration! The guest book consisted of two records with Leah and Eric’s photo, for guests to sign and offer best wishes to the couple!

Leah and Eric, we wish a long and happy marriage to you both! Thank you for the honor of being your wedding day coordinators!
